I can capture only
images and no sound. |
 |
 |
- this is common with people using windows 98 (win 98 2nd edition
is OK though).
- By entering the preferences at the capture mode, the USB capture
device has to be set to "Sony digital Imaging audio"
for sound to be also captured.
- Maybe the Master volume at the PC audio setting has been set
to Mute. You can check that by double clicking the speaker icon
on the lower right menu tray.
- The driver has been installed wrongly (by connecting the USB
cord to the PC before installing the driver). They would have
to go to the device manager, and uninstall the USB driver and
reinstall it without the USB cord attached to the PC. To delete
the USB driver, they shoud go to the device manager, select
the 3 drivers (Composite USB Divice, USB Audio Device and USB
Device) that were installed incorrectly and delete them. reboot
and reinstall the drivers again.
- If all doesnt work, then something is wrong with the sound
card in the PC.
