Q What is a thumbnail?
Q

A thumbnail is a small picture/image that appears when you add a file to your album. The size, name, saved location and other details about the pictures/images are being categorized when added to the albums. A thumbnail acts like a "shortcut" (in Windows machines) or as an "Alias" in Macintosh machines.

TOP«Æ艫Ç
Q What is the relationship between the thumbnails and the original (saved) files?
Q

A thumbnail shows the location and details of the original file (called the original file or source file or saved file.) A thumbnail is not the original saved file.
Still picture files, movie files and sound files can all be saved in your PC's hard disk as original files; the thumbnails of these files contains the detail information of these saved original files in a compact form to be used in the ImageMixer application. A thumbnail acts like a "shortcut" (in Windows machines) or as an "Alias" in Macintosh machines.

Q When I selected the "Rename file" option, the name of the thumbnail didn't change.
Q

The 'rename file' option indicates changing the name of the original file and not the name of the thumbnail. When you select the "rename file" option, and change the file name, only the name of the original file has changed and not the name of the thumbnail. Thumbnails are created at the import mode so it bears the same name with the original file. However, ImageMixer handles and stores the two names separately so it is not imperative that the names have to be the same.
When you want to change or rename a thumbnail, please change the "Title" of the information panel.

Q

Printing in one full page of 4 x6 (4 colons and 6 rows) is possible when the pictures are different. That is, if you have 16 pictures and you want to print it out all in one page - 4 x 6. However, if you would like to print one image or picture to cover the whole page 4 x 6, then the software could not respond to that request on this version. The coming up version will probably include that function.
