What should I do when my camera is not recognized? |
Please try rebooting Windows or reconnecting the device. |
Even though there is enough available hard disk space, why can't I write compiled videos? |
You cannot write files over 4GB.
If the drive in which your Windows OS is installed does not have enough available space, you cannot write because necessary temporary files used for writing cannot be generated. Please make sure the drive in which Windows is installed has enough free space before writing. |

Is it possible to restore videos imported from digital video cameras to the digital video camera tapes? |
In ImageMixer, the function of exporting videos to digital video camera tapes is not available. |

When my camera
is connected by USB, the PC freezes and the screen becomes dark. |
Update the driver of your PC's graphics board
or sound board to the latest version.
You should be able to download this update from the website
of your PC manufacturer, or graphic board or sound board manufacturer.
When playing
or recording a movie, the sound is out of sync and the image
is jumpy (skips frames). |
Check whether the PC you are using meets the ImageMixer
Specifications.
If it does meet the Specifications, try the following solutions:
Solution 1
1: Open the Preferences on the [Import] screen of the [USB]
mode.
2: Switch the preview type from [TYPE1] to [TYPE2] on the [Import
Preferences] screen.
If Solution 1 does not work:
Solution 2
1: Update your PC's sound driver to the latest version. |

I connected my
camera via USB and started up ImageMixer, but the message [Deck
not connected] appears, and the camera is not recognized. |
* Check the USB cable connection.
* Check that the driver is correctly installed by viewing the
Device Manager.
* Try removing any other USB peripheral devices.
* If you are using a USB hub, try connecting the PC and camera
directly.
* Check whether the version later than DirectX8.0a is installed.
Steps in checking your DirectX version:
1. Select [Start] - [Run].
2. Enter "dxdiag" and click [OK]
3. The [DirectX Diagnosis Tool] is displayed.
4. Check the DirectX version from the [System Info] option in
the [System] tab, and perform one of the following functions:
If the version installed is earlier than DirectX8.0a:
From the [Add and Remove Programs] (or [Add and Remove Applications]),
uninstall ImageMixer, and make sure to install ImageMixer from
the CD-ROM after installing DirectX8.1.
If the version installed is later than DirectX8.0a:
From the [Add and Remove Programs] (or [Add and Remove Applications]),
uninstall ImageMixer, and reinstall it from the CD-ROM. |

Why is the video
quality poor when I capture video through the USB port using
Pixela's ImageMixer software? |
Due to technical constraints of the USB format,
the video quality you can capture is only MPEG-1. In order to
capture the highest quality video, we suggest you use the IEEE
1394 port on your camera. You will need a IEEE1394 port on your
PC as well as an
appropriate cable and the ImageMixer software. |

My disk capacity (space) is not enough. Can I be able to install ImageMixer in a different drive or an external drive? |
Yes you can.
For windows users, create a folder in the drive you are going
to install the application and install the application into
that folder.
For Macintosh, use an installer and choose the drive you want
to install the application and proceed. |
How much disk space will the ImageMixer use if I install it? |
You will need 200MB for Windows users and 100MB for Macintosh users.
I would like to reinstall the ImageMixer software. What should I do with image files I have already created and are still in my hard disk? |
For Windows
Since you will have to first uninstall (remove) the ImageMixer
software from your PC before reinstalling, it is safe to first
go to (HDD)-(Program Files)-(Pixela)-(ImageMixer) folder. Then
copy the (Capture)(Convert)(Userdata) folders from the ImageMixer
folder to a different location. If you had saved files in a
folder different from that created by the ImageMixer application,
you will have to do the same and copy the files to a different
location.
After reinstalling the new ImageMixer, you then copy your files/folders
into the new ImageMixer folder and you can be able to use your
images and pictures again.
For Macintosh
Copy the (Capture)(User Data)(Album library) (Convert) folders found within the ImageMixer folder to a different location. If you had saved files in a folder different from that created by the ImageMixer application, you will have to do the same and copy the files to a different location. After reinstalling the new ImageMixer, you then copy your files/folders into the new ImageMixer folder and you can be able to use your pictures and images again.

I cannot install the application/software. |
Please check the operating enviroment of your PC to see whether
Image Mixer is compatible or not.
Also, for Windows® 2000 enviroments, please install with Adminstratior's
authority. |
